  • Students must acknowledge and agree to pay for shipping and insurance costs when returning borrowed library materials.
  • Students accept responsibility for any lost or damaged books.

If you wish to apply for this service, please complete the distance learning form.

  2. Make sure that you sign in to the LIBRARYsearch system using your Kent State email address and FlashLine password.

The turn-around time for receipt of materials shipped depends on multiple factors and cannot be guaranteed. Items being shipped off-campus require a minimum of three to seven days to travel. Please plan your projects accordingly. You will receive an email when your items are shipped which will contain tracking information.

Use ILLiad to place requests for material that is unavailable through KentLINK and OhioLINK. The system is also for articles that are not available online or in print from KentLINK or OhioLINK. ILLiad uses your FlashLine log-in. Provide a shipping address and select "Distance Learner" under the "Which Kent State Campus?" pull-down menu.
