UL’s goal is to work with our library partners to connect users to resources via the best avenue, which may not result in the library purchasing new materials. Some things to keep in mind:

• Format preferences (e.g., print book vs ebook) cannot always be met based on our available access options and pricing
• OhioLINK borrowing may be recommended rather than the library purchasing new print copies locally
• Resource requests may be redirected to our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service
• UL has limitations in place for certain materials (e.g., streaming videos and textbooks) that impact resource decisions
