Creative Commons Licensing

Creative Commons provides a means of licensing your work so that others can use it under certain conditions without asking you first. Licenses vary from basic ("You may use my work, just credit me as the creator,") to more complex ("You may use my work, but only for non-commercial purposes. You cannot creative derivative works. You must credit me as the creator.")

Unlike the U.S. Copyright Office, Creative Commons does not track licenses. All you need to do is choose a license and label your work with that license.

The OhioLINK ETD Center accepts Creative Commons licensing.

For more information, see the Creative Commons guide to sharing your work.
