Thank you for choosing to create a Kent State University Libraries Community Borrower Account. This form will walk you through the steps of what being a Community Borrower means, the policies and procedures, and finally the application. After applying, a staff member from the Circulation Desk will reach out to schedule a time to meet in person to confirm your photo ID.

Once a staff member has confirmed your application, watch your email for a welcome message within the next five business days. The message will verify that your library account is active and will provide you with your UL (University Libraries) number, which you will need to login to your online library account, as well as request and renew materials.

An email address is required in order to receive a confirmation of completion of this form.

If you have any questions, please contact Kelly Shook at kshook2 [at] kent.edu or 330-672-1648 or send an email to circ [at] kent.edu.

Community Borrowers are subject to all policies governing the use of Kent State University Libraries and its collections.
