Collections for Faculty Research

In addition to KentLINK and OhioLINK, use these resources to locate materials physically housed at Kent State University or locate materials for your research that you can order through Interlibrary Loan.

KSU Special Collections
The Department of Special Collections and Archives acquires, preserves, and provides access to primary sources and rare materials that support the teaching and research programs of Kent State University.

Branch Libraries
Branch libraries at Kent State provide specialized support for the following disciplines: Architecture, Chemistry and Physics (including the Liquid Crystal Institute), Computer Science, Fashion, Maps, Mathematics, and Music.

Center for Research Libraries
A consortium of North American universities, colleges, and independent research libraries. The consortium acquires and preserves traditional and digital resources for research and teaching and makes them available to member institutions through interlibrary loan and electronic delivery.

A comprehensive union catalog of all types of research materials, reflecting the collections of major research and academic libraries, archives, and museums. Updated daily.

Contains records to approximately 36 million items in most (if not all) subject areas. Materials may include books, computer data files and programs, films, journal and magazine titles, newspapers, manuscripts, musical scores, and more. Not included are individual articles, stories, or book chapters. Updated daily.

OhioLINK Digital Media Center
Databases of electronic images, videos, and sound; may also include numeric data and other types of electronic media.
