The Systems unit provides services to the libraries at all eight campuses across the University system. It is composed of three teams that work closely to ensure continuity of library technology services.

Library Services Platform Team: Manages LIBRARYsearch, the university's ExLibris Alma LSP and Primo VE discover platform, and works with University Information Systems and OhioLINK to make integration with other systems as seamless as possible. Provides support for OCLC Connexion for cataloging, Ares for electronic reserves, and ILLiad for interlibrary loan.

Development Team: Develops and maintains a wide variety of web sites, web programming applications, and a staff intranet. Builds and maintains specialized open-source tools and services for library patrons and staff. Automates routine system maintenance tasks.

Desktop Team: Manages network authorizations. Procures, deploys, and maintains hardware and software for workstations and library classrooms on the Kent campus.
