Biography of Glenn W. Frank:

Glenn William Frank was a Kent State University professor, geologist, and researcher, born on January 13, 1928, in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. Frank graduated from Mayfield High School before enlisting into the United States Marine Corps, where he served from 1946 to 1947. In 1951, Frank enrolled at Kent State University under the GI Bill, earning a bachelor's degree in Geology. He went on to complete two Master of Science degrees, one from the University of Maine in 1953, followed by Western Reserve University in Cleveland, in 1963.

Frank began his teaching career with a temporary appointment at Kent State University, which developed into a distinguished 31 year career, until his retirement in 1984. In recognition of his contributions to education, he received the Distinguished Teaching Award in 1969. He was also active in his professional field, earning additional honors in geology. Frank served his local community as a trustee of Franklin Township, Ohio.

Frank remained deeply engaged in research related to the events of May 4, 1970, which is evident by the Glenn W. Frank May 4 website.

Glenn W. Frank passed away on August 25, 1993.
