Biography of William A. Fredrick

William A. Fredrick graduated from Kent State University in 1970, with a Bachelor of Arts in political science. He had taken a photography class and became very interested in photography as well as the student protest movement. Thus, he found himself involved in documenting various demonstrations occurring at the time. During the May 1970 shootings, Fredrick was taking photographs with fellow student, Howard Ruffner. Fredrick now resides in Cordova, Tennessee.

Scope and Content

This collection contains photographs taken on and around Kent State University campus, during spring 1970, in the time leading up to and including the shootings.
