The former curator of Special Collections and Archives at Kent State University is donating hundreds of treasures from a personal library, which he amassed over the past half century.
Alex Gildzen, who moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico, following his retirement more than 20 years ago, has spent the past three months packing books and personal papers from his shelves, and shipping them to the Kent State University Libraries department of Special Collections and Archives.
University Libraries has a fresh new look for its website, designed to reflect Kent State University's bold new branding initiative. Kent State University Libraries’ Annual Report is a comprehensive overview of our department that includes our vision and mission statements and the programs, resources, events and personnel contributions with which they align. The inaugural issue covered the academic year 2018-19.
Essential Library, The Newsletter of Kent State University Libraries, is distributed once each fall and spring semester to all full-time employees at all of Kent State’s campuses. Through the newsletter, faculty and staff are informed of University Libraries’ services, personnel, events and facility updates and are encouraged to take advantage of all that the Libraries offer to support student success and their professional development. The inaugural issue was published in spring semester 2018.
Page Turners is University Libraries’ biannual magazine that informs and updates the on- and off-campus community of our knowledgeable faculty, competent staff, helpful resources, impressive facilities and interesting events. The inaugural issue was published in spring semester 2012.
