The Marketing curriculum emphasizes marketing within small-sized businesses (those with 500 or few employees and/or sales less than $100 million).The marketing curriculum at KentStateUniversity is designed to provide the student with a broad working knowledge of the theory and practice of marketing management.These same skills also have value should students gain employment in large firms.

Recent volumes of a select number of scholarly journals in the discipline are also available online through the OhioLINK Electronic Journal Center (EJC).
Back issues and full runs of selected scholarly journals focusing on Marketing are also available online through Kent State University’s subscription to JSTOR.

The collection is strong from 1962-present, with earlier collections obtained from purchases and donations.All materials are cataloged and accessible via Kentlink.
Methods of acquisition
As a member of the Federal Depository Library Program, KentStateUniversity receives federal documents at no cost. KentStateUniversity is also a State of Ohio Depository Library, and acquires many free state documents and publications as a result.
Federal publications
Many agencies publish and distribute information in support of the research and instructional interests of the Department of Marketing.The Bureau of the Census, Commerce Department, Federal Trade Commission and the Agriculture Department supply the school with documents that offer various statistical information, analyses and guidelines.Any and all congressional publications are received by the library, which includes bills and laws, congressional hearings, congressional records and various House and Senate reports.
