Business Administration Collection Development Guidelines

General Department Information

The College of Business Administration maintains a World Wide Web home page with current information about their program, faculty and course offerings.

General Objectives:

To support undergraduate instruction for majors pursing a B.S. degree and graduate programs leading to a Masters in Business Administration, Master of Arts in Economics, Master of Science in Marketing and Doctorates in the following five areas of concentration at the College: Marketing, Finance, Economics, Management & Information Systems, and Accounting. Human Resources is being phased out of the program.

To provide some support for disciplines in the following areas as a minor or joint degree: (undergraduate instruction) Marketing, Military Science or Computer Information Systems; (graduate students) Library & Information Science or Nursing.

To become more international.

  • Chronology: current information; historical only to support PhD and faculty research needs

Periodical holdings are not classified but are arranged alphabetically in the Periodicals Department. They are available to students in several formats including print, microform and electronic. Current periodicals support most business related programs at the Graduate and Doctoral level.

Strong interdisciplinary relations with the Department of Political Science and its Masters in Public Administration and the Applied Linguistics Institute and its Masters in Translations.
