Practicum Opportunities in Technical Services

Have you thought about doing a practicum in the Catalog Department here at Kent State?  We would like to extend an open invitation to students who have received some training in AACR2R and the MARC21 format, because you have the skills that we need.

Successful practicums happen when we locate students who have received some preliminary training and who have an interest in technical services work.  These students are partnered with projects that are helpful to our department.

Projects can involve working with the following tools:

  • Innovative Interfaces software (III)
  • OCLC Connexion
  • Cataloger's Desktop
  • Classification Web
