Blocks

Students and all other patrons except for Faculty and Staff are blocked from borrowing material when they owe $10.00 or more on their patron record.

Faculty and Staff are blocked from borrowing material when they owe $25.00 or more on their patron record.

All patrons are blocked when they receive a third Statement of Charges (3rd SOC) until full payment is made.  (This block applies to any amount, including those less than the above limits, when a 3rd SOC has been sent.)

Bills

Once a Kent State or OhioLINK item is more than thirty (30) days overdue a bill is sent to the patron by U.S. Mail. (Some materials have a bill generated sooner - Microsoft*, Reserves, Periodicals, Stark media).

• Most KentLINK items (monograph and serials) indicate a default $65.00 item replacement charge.
• Fashion Library items indicate a $90.00 item replacement charge.
• Kent Campus Audio-Visual Services film and video indicate the actual item price or a default $115.00 item replacement charge.
• OhioLINK items indicate a $75.00 item replacement charge and a $50.00 billing fee (total $125.00).
• Interlibrary Loan items (received from other, non-OhioLINK libraries) indicate a $130.00 replacement charge.
