Checking Out Library Materials

Library patrons must present a picture ID to check out library items. A Flashcard (university ID) or a driver's license are two acceptable forms of picture ID. Patrons must be in good standing with the Library in order to borrow materials.

All Kent State University owned items are subject to recall. This means that if another Kent State University student, faculty or staff wishes to have an item that is currently checked out, and if there is no copy currently available in OhioLINK, they may request a recall of that item. Recalled items must be returned by the new due date or patrons will be assessed a fine of $1 per day and be denied Library privileges until the matter is resolved. Recalled OhioLINK items are subject to a fine of $2 per day.
