Library Notices / E-Mail NotificationKent State University University Libraries sends library notices to students, faculty, and staff via e-mail to their "@kent.edu" e-mail address. Library patrons who have borrowing privileges but do not have "@kent.edu" e-mail accounts, such as Community Borrowers, may receive e-mail notification by supplying an email address when they apply for borrowing privileges, or by contacting the Kent Campus Main Library Circulation Desk. An overdue notice is sent to a patron when an item is one day overdue. If the item is not returned within seven (7) days another overdue notice is sent (eighth day overdue). Ignored overdue notices can lead to library fines and the suspension of library privileges. Notices sent via e-mail are provided as a courtesy. Patrons are responsible for checking and maintaining the e-mail account to which notices are sent.
Please check your "@kent.edu" e-mail account regularly or forward your "@kent.edu" e-mail to the e-mail address you most often use. Instructions for forwarding your "@kent.edu" e-mail Cancelling E-Mail NotificationIf you are a Community Borrower, Alumni Association member, or other type of borrower, and you need to cancel e-mail notification for your library account, please contact the Circulation Department. If e-mailing, please include your name, telephone number and e-mail address in your message. Current Kent State University students, faculty and staff cannot cancel e-mail notification. |
