Creative Commons Licensing

Creative Commons provides a means of licensing your work so that others can use it under certain conditions without asking you first. Licenses vary from basic ("You may use my work; simply credit me as the creator,") to more complex ("You may use my work, if credit me as the creator, but only for non-commercial purposes.")

Unlike the U.S. Copyright Office, Creative Commons does not track licenses. All you need to do is choose a license and label your work with that license.

The OhioLINK ETD Center accepts Creative Commons licensing.

For more information, see the Creative Commons guide to sharing your work.
