About

The Map Library is a predominantly contemporary collection of maps and GIS data supporting research and teaching and is international in scope. Currently there are over 270,000 maps, 2,000 atlases, 350 gazetteers, 500 reference books, and various CD-ROMs in the Map Library.

The Map Library also features GIS data, a GIS workstation with ArcGIS software as well as scanning and printing services. Access to many cartographic resources, including GIS data, can be found in the University Library catalog (KentLINK), as well as through the Campus VPN for restricted data and mapping services.

The Map Library is part of the Federal Depository Library program and receives the most recently published maps of the United States Geological Survey and other United States government agencies.
