OhioLINK Courier Announcement

Dear Kent State Students, Staff and Faculty,

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the state of Ohio will be transitioning to a new courier service for book deliveries between Ohio colleges and universities.

This transition will require a pause in statewide print lending.

Requests for print materials through the OhioLINK Central Catalog will pause on Friday, March 11, 2022.

Requests can still be made until this time, but you will not be able to make new requests after this date. Requests will remain paused through at least the end of April 2022.

This change only applies to print materials. All digital/online OhioLINK content will remain available.

Because Kent State University Libraries and OhioLINK libraries share this statewide delivery service with 350 public library locations (which account for 2/3 of delivery activity), this change could not be scheduled to better align with our academic calendar.

Your Libraries stand ready to help you!

Kent State University Libraries is prepared to assist you in identifying and gaining access to the information you need to successfully complete the semester. Follow one of these three pathways to request help:

  1. Contact your subject librarian.
  2. Reach out to us via our chat service.
  3. Call our service desk at 330-672-7905.

*Regional campus students should contact their campus library or academic learning commons.

We are committed to supporting our community through this courier transition and maintaining our high level of service. Please don’t hesitate to let us know how we can help.

Regards and Go Flashes,

Ken Burhanna

Dean, University Libraries
