Electronic Resources Specialist

Kent State University Libraries seek a resourceful and service-oriented person to contribute to the work of our Electronic Resources Team. Under the direction of the Manager, Electronic Resources, this position supports the acquisition and management of electronic resources, including ordering, establishing access, troubleshooting access problems, renewal, payment, adjusting records as titles cease/are canceled, or transferred to other publishers or hosting platforms, as well as quality control and lifecycle support. This position is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in an academic library setting.

 

This is an unclassified staff position. Starting salary: $45,600

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and three years of relevant experience in a comparably-sized academic or public library.

-OR-

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and ten (10) years progressively responsible experience in the field of serials and electronic resources.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in a relevant field. Prior collections management or serials management experience. Core Competencies for E-Resources Librarians.
