Art and Architecture Database
Contains approximately 3000 art and architectural images. Collections include Greek and Roman sculpture and architecture, Minoan art, artists throughout history, and selected images from several art history textbooks. Part of the Digital Media Center (OhioLINK).

Art Full Text [1984-] (Ebsco interface) (1984 - Current)
This offers full text plus abstracts and indexing of an international array of peer-selected publications, now with expanded coverage of Latin American, Canadian, Asian and other non-Western art, new artists, contemporary art, exhibition reviews, and feminist criticism. Full text coverage for selected periodicals is also included. Reproductions of works of art that appear in indexed periodicals is also included. Also includes access to Art Index Retrospective.

ARTbibliographies Modern (1900 - Current)
ARTbibliographies modern contains abstracts of journal articles, books, exhibition catalog and reviews and dissertations. Its scope covers Impressionism up to the late 20th century. Emphasis is on adding new and lesser-known artists and coverage for foreign-language literature. About 13,000 new entries are added each year.

Arts and Humanities Citation Index (1980 - Current)
This "Web of Science" database covers the journal literature of the arts and humanities, indexing 1,100 of the world's leading arts and humanities journals, and relevant items from over 6,800 major science and social science journals. Updated weekly.

ARTstor
ARTstor is a digital library of nearly one million images in the areas of art, architecture, the humanities, and social sciences with a set of tools to view, present, and manage images for research and pedagogical purposes. Images are available for use in presentations for educational or other noncommercial uses.
For study of art images

Covers European and American art from late antiquity to the present; it indexes and abstracts art-related books, conference proceedings and dissertations, exhibition and dealer's catalogs, and articles from more than 2,500 periodicals.

Textile Technology Complete (Available at Kent Campus Only) (1950 - Current)
Textile Technology Complete is a scholarly and professional database covering scientific and technological aspects of textile production and processing. Containing over 400 periodical titles, it also draws on current technical reports, books, and trade literature. Also includes resources about apparel, home furnishings, and polymer industries.

Provides full text for more than 4,000 scholarly publications covering academic areas of study including social sciences, humanities, education, computer sciences, engineering, language and linguistics, arts & literature, medical sciences, and ethnic studies. This database is updated daily.

Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals (1934 - Current)
The Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals database offers a comprehensive listing of journal articles on architecture and design, including bibliographic descriptions. It contains over 600,000 entries surveying over 2,500 American and international journals, including many that are peer reviewed. Publications from professional associations and regional periodicals are also included.
Avery Index also contains citations for art related topics including artists who work with architecture, and architectural interiors containing art or architectural exteriors embellished by artists and designers representing the fine arts.

Digital Media Center
Several databases of electronic images, videos, and sound; will eventually also include numeric data and other types of electronic media.

Dissertation Abstracts (ProQuest Dissertations & Theses) (1861 - Current)
Includes citations for dissertations dating from the first U.S. dissertation issued in 1861. Contains abstracts for dissertations from 1980 to the present and for master's theses from 1988 forward. The work of authors from over 1,000 North American graduate schools and European universities are also included. Titles published since 1997 are available in PDF digital format and have 24 page previews available.
Contains dissertations from university doctoral programs in the history of art.

Index to 19th-century American Art Periodicals
Indexes 42 art journals published in the US during the 19th century and offers information on popular culture and industry, artists and illustrators, painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, architecture and design, exhibitions and sales, decorations, and collecting.

JSTOR is an electronic archive of complete journal backruns, current to within 2 to 5 years. The collections include: Arts & Sciences I-VIII, Business Collection I-III, Ecology & Botany, General Science, and Language and Literature. For Kent State University, students and faculty now have access to 381 JSTOR journals representing over 2 million articles.

ProceedingsFirst (1993 - Current)
Provides tables of contents of papers presented at conferences worldwide. Each record contains a list of the papers presented at one conference. ProceedingsFirst provides access to the British Library Document Supply Centre's collection of conference proceedings. Updated monthly.
