There is a five item limit for anyone wishing to check out Print Reserve materials.

Loan Periods

Loan periods for checking out are determined by the instructor requesting the materials to be placed on Reserve.   Anyone wishing to check out materials for an extended loan period will need to acquire the course instructor’s approval. Reserve Services will verify the approval with the course instructor before checking out the materials for an extended loan period.

Types Of Loan Periods:

  1. 2 Hour Reserve – The materials must stay in the Library during the 2 Hour loan period.  Materials can be checked out overnight two hours before the Library closes.  Overnight reserve materials must be returned 10 minutes after the Library opens the following day.
  2. 2 Hour NO Overnight Reserve – The materials must stay in the Library at all times.  You may not check out the materials overnight.
  3. 3 Day Reserve – The materials may be checked out for 3 days, and may not be renewed on the same day they were returned. In fairness to other patrons, a 24 hour waiting period is required before rechecking out the materials.

Checking In Reserve Materials

Users are subject to fines and lost book charges for materials kept beyond their borrowing period.

To avoid lost or overdue fee charges for reserve materials, return the materials directly to a Circulation staff. Dropping the materials in the Book Drops may result in overdue fee charges.

Note: Receipts for returned materials are available upon requests at the Circulation Desk.
