How to Remove Proxy Settings

If you have used the Kent State proxy server to access online resources, library research databases, and eJournals over the years, a change is coming. The proxy service is being replaced by the VPN. The proxy is being retired on July 1st, 2008.

In order to use the VPN successfully, you have to remove your proxy settings in your browser. To continue using the online resources from off-campus, it is very important to both set up VPN access and remove your browser's proxy settings.

The instructions on this page show you how to disable the proxy settings in your browser.

For additional help, call the University Help Desk at 330-672-HELP.
