This website serves as a "directory designed specifically for members of the clothing & fashion accessories industry." The website provides links to hundreds of resources including businesses and associations (U.S. and world), schools, publications and trade shows as well as information on a variety of topics including customs regulations, care labels and clothing conversion charts.

This is a subscription site, however, some material is accessible to visitors. California Apparel News' website includes brief news and fashion articles and includes a trade show calendar.

Clothing Model caters to members of the modeling industry and provides an online directory to modeling agencies by name and location (U.S. and world) as well as other services catered to models.

The Color Association of The United States offers members forecasting services designed to ensure "marketplace success for their color decisions." While most services are available only through paid membership, visitors may access white papers with articles documenting the impact of specific colors, sample seasonal inspirational images and a site blog.

The Contemporary Fashion Archive (2002-2007) is a joint project of a number of European fashion institutions intended to "feature collections and projects of various international fashion and accessory designers, whose work is characterized by an experimental and innovative approach to fashion." Visitors can browse by designers, institutions, magazines and exhibits. Links continue to be kept current.

The CFDA is a nonprofit trade association of fashion and accessories designers. Visitors may read about the CFDA Awards as well as scholarship and internship opportunities.

This website by the Fashion Syndicate Press sells fashion runway photographs to the press. Sample photographs may be viewed for free, although individual images are not downloadable. Photographs are organized by city, season and specialized subjects.

Fashion Trendsetter is a fashion forecasting, trend reporting and news e-zine with fashion information from the major trade fairs, trend reports & forecasts. Visitors may go to style notes, fashion trends, color trends, fashion events and fashion shows. The fashion show section provides links and select images from designer shows.

This is a membership site, however, a few areas of the site may be accessed without subscription. This site focuses on fashion and visual store merchandising and it includes a number of trendspotting articles and links.

This online journal was created by the University of Delaware Department of Fashion and Apparel Studies faculty in order to "showcase fashion and apparel markets around the globe, share the insights of leaders in the industry and the latest academic research on critical issues, highlight opportunities for further education and provide a forum the exchange of ideas, connecting members of our community around the globe." Visitors may access both current and archived issues from this site and they may also sign up to receive notification of new issues.

Visitors can follow the Photos link to collections, which are divided by collection type and then designer and/or country. Free access is generally provided to less recent collections. This UK-based fashion site provides blogs, news articles and discussion threads on all aspects of fashion. Click on the Catwalk tab in order to access runway photographs and videos from London Fashion Week, Graduate Fashion Week, and Alternative Fashion Week.

Hoovers is a provider of business information. While a subscription is required to access all of the site's features, visitors may search for specific companies and find addresses, overviews, key numbers, key people, competitors and business rankings.

This is a British parenting magazine and includes a Fashion tab that links to brief articles and images of current children's fashion trends.

Just-style is a news service and market research site for the apparel and textile industry. Access to much of the site is through paid subscription, however, access to a limited number of monthly articles and insight pieces may be gained by registering as a free user.

Mudpie Design is a British children's fashion forecasting and graphics service. Although forecast material must be purchased, visitors can view some sample pages by clicking on the Trendbooks link and then selecting one of the tabs at the top of the page: Cutiepie (babies), Minipie (children), Mudpie (tweens and juniors), Mpk Female (young adult) or Mpk Male (young adult). Under each tab the viewer may click on the About button to see sample pages. Images however, cannot be enlarged or printed separately.

In that way that IMDB attempts to credit all of those involved in a movie, MYFDB attempts to credit all of those involved in fashion advertising campaigns and editorials, including models, stylists and photographers. Visitors can use the basic search function or narrow their search scope to covers, editorials, campaigns, people and companies. Currently the database contains information back to the mid-2000s. A great resource for biographical information as well as photographs.

New York magazine features extensive on-line fashion resources including news articles, blogs, and an events calendar as well as topical videos and slideshows. Street style is highlighted in the well-known Look Book link which features photographic portraits and brief interviews with stylish New Yorkers. Click on the Shows, Designers or Models links and search alphabetically to bring up helpful profile information as well as runway photographs.

Not Just a Label is an online showcase for emerging fashion designers from over 90 countries. The site also offers designers directories of stores, manufacturers and photographers.

Pantone, Inc. is promoted as the "world-renowned authority on color and provider of color systems and leading technology for the selection and accurate communication of color." Pantone products include color forecasting. Visitors may view a number of trend articles for past and upcoming seasons by following the products link to fashion and home and then to the trends link. The webpage offers members (sign-up is free) the ability to download free articles about color.

This site offers regular free online issues of the Australian children's design and fashion magazine, Paper Mache. Visitors may also view previous issues and subscribe to the site's blog.

Intended to be an online extension of the triannual Printsource New York textile and surface design tradeshow, the database is promoted as "the first and only global online tool that allows buyers of surface and textile designs to search for information on creative talent worldwide." Visitors may search this site by company name, country, industry role or product category. Some businesses include a linkable portfolio page of design examples.

This forecasting agency website provides brief teaser pages designed to promote their trend materials. These teaser pages focus on specific markets in womenswear, menswear and childrenswear and may be useful for researchers.

A blog and occasional online magazine of children's fashion.

This website provides sustainable fabric sourcing and services from a network of suppliers. Visitors may "search through a comprehensive and curated selection of materials and services, review technical and sustainability specs, calculate lead and ship times, connect with suppliers, and source swatches, yardage and products." Membership is free. A site blog also provides updates on eco-fashion internships, jobs, conferences and news.

The "online home of Vogue and W," this website makes available thousands of runway photographs from current and past ready-to-wear and couture shows as well as current articles, forums and blog-links to topics in fashion, beauty and shopping. From the homepage, click on the Search tab in order to conduct a Runway photo search (by designer, season and trend) or a Designers, Models and Celebrities photo search (by name). In order to access the forums, viewers must subscribe, but subscription is free.

Organizational membership is required for access to parts of the website. FGI is a nonprofit professional organization dedicated to the fashion, apparel, accessories, beauty and home industries. Its mission includes advancement of women in these industries. The website includes information about events, career counseling and other aspects of membership.

Trends West is an L.A. trend-spotting company, which promotes itself to the fashion industry. Visitors can follow the Retail Notebook link to view a few sample pages of recent past issues of the company's monthly Report. By following the Other Services link, visitors can also to view sample pages from publications in different categories such as girlswear, denim, accessories and swimwear.

The U.S. Office of Textiles and Apparel provides information and data relating to international trade including trade show dates, import quotas and information on trade agreements.

WeConnectFashion is a fashion marketplace intelligence service for connecting retailers, brands and suppliers. It features online product, service and supplier directories. Brief articles provide trend information and career tips.
