First Year Experience Program Overview

The First Year Experience Program of University Libraries at Kent State University is part of a university wide commitment to connecting with and supporting incoming students. Our mission is to foster student success through collaborations with faculty and staff and direct interaction with students. Our First Year Experience Program also forms the foundation of the Libraries’ comprehensive library instruction program. 

Program Objectives

Orient students to the KSU Libraries, resources and services

Make students aware of the support and research services available to them

Make positive contributions to the success and growth of first year students at Kent State University
