Library Tours
FYC Library Tour Assignment
The Library Tour Assignment is a mandatory requirement of the First Year Colloquium course. The assignment requires students to complete a library tour and pass a library tour quiz in WebCT Vista.
Online Library Tour
The new online library tour is the best way for First Year Colloquium students to learn about the library. It is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The Online Library Tour is a self-paced series of web modules that provides students with flexible pathways for learning about the library. Students may go through the entire tour at once or do it in sections. The estimated time to complete the tour in one sitting is 20 to 30 minutes, but this will vary depending on individual learning styles.
Detailed Building Guide
The Detailed Building Guide provides indexed access to information about service points, help desks, study spaces and collections located in the Main Library.
In-Person Library Tour - Not Available for Spring 2008
In-person, librarian-led library tours are not offered for the Sring 2008 Semester.
Library Tours for Specialized Audiences
Library Tours are normally available only to students enrolled in University Orientation, but sometimes tours can be arranged for special groups new to the library. For example, we often provide tours for new international students. If you think a library tour would be appropriate for your group, please contact First Year Experience Librarian Ken Burhanna.
