STEP #4: The GEO_ID column is now minus the first seven characters.

*Note: If you only have chosen one column to save, this will be the only information in the file. You must first select one cell of the table, and then the entire table will be saved. In order to do this: highlight cell A3.

STEP #5: Click on the top File button and select Save As… .

STEP #6: Leaving the same file name, save as a DBF file.

STEP #7: The Microsoft Excel formatting box will ask if you want to keep this format, click the Yes button.

*Note: You can now proceed to the ArcView program (GIS Workstation).
