This collection is comprised of four series of historical topographic maps of Pittsburgh, dating from 1872-1961. Maps can be ordered and reproduced in print or digital form.

Historic USGS Topographic Maps
Offers large, highly detailed scans of topographic maps of twelve states created by the United States Geological Survey in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Search by city or place name, state, or zip code to retrieve topographical maps of selected areas of the United States. Nautical and aeronautical charts are also provided. A significant feature of the site is that it provides immediate latitude and longitude readings for any point on any map.

Here, 20 cities in Russia are featured in topographic maps. The text on this site is primarily Russian, though the maps are identified in English. To view the maps in high resolution, click on the link below each map. Once in map viewer mode, you can save, print, zoom, and rotate images.

Use the clickable map to obtain detailed topographical maps of any area in Canada.

Type in the name of a place or latitude and longitude of a location, and this site will find the USGS topographic quadrangle map as well as provide information such as county, state, type of place (e.g. town/city), elevation, latitude, and longitude. Also, this site allows for choosing four map scales : 1:25,000; 1:50,000; 1:100,000; and 1:200,000. Limited to United States.

Search by place name, post code, or National Grid reference to locate detailed Ordnance Survey topographical maps from the U.K. The site also provides routeplanner maps, road maps, and historical maps for Great Britain.

This site provides access to historical map sections taken from the Ohio land survey conducted between 1898 and 1916. Use the "Ohio Map Index" to select an area of the map to view a detailed topographical depiction of the selected section. Note: The DjVu browser plug in is available on this site and must be downloaded for the maps to be viewed properly.

This site provides access to 30 X 60 Minute Series (1:100 000 scale) quadrant maps in every state and territory of the United States. Quadrants can be viewed individually as well as within the state as a whole. There are no zoom or pan features.
