Map Library

The Map Library is the University's chief cartographic and geospatial resource center for maps, atlases, GIS data, place name literature and cartographic reference materials in paper and electronic format. The mission of the Map Library is to assist students in obtaining resources for research and learning, faculty in gathering resources for research and teaching, and the general public in their educational or recreational pursuits.

What's New

The British Geological Survey has just made its data and maps open to the public at no cost. Downloads and viewing of current information is now free to the public.

USGS has announced a new cycle of revising and improving the current 7.5 Minute Series topographic maps. Now in GeoPDF and available for download the the USGS Store, or viewing on the National Map, each topo will be revised in the next three years. National Forest Service will continue to be responsible for their quadrangles. See the schedule for updating at: http://nationalmap.gov/ustopo/about.html#status
