Circulation - Graduate Student Positions
Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week during semesters. Applicants for the Circulation Desk position must be available to work evenings and weekends. Ability to work during intersessions preferred. Ability to perform data entry, supervise student employees and to do basic arithmetic.
Duties - Circulation Desk:
To assist patrons at the Circulation Desk; supervise undergraduate student employees, input computer data related to the circulation of materials; open and close the building; collect and deposit monies for overdue fines and book sales; assist with the supervision of Library Security Aides; maintain files and circulation records related to the circulation of library materials; communicate effectively with library staff and patrons at all levels; maintain and enforce library and University policies.
Duties - Library Reserves:
Assist faculty in placing materials on Reserve; supervise undergraduate student employees; input computer data related to the processing of Reserve materials and request for copyright permissions; maintain files and circulation records relating to the Reserve Unit; answer and route telephone calls; communicate effectively with library staff, patrons and faculty at all levels; to maintain and enforce UL and University policies.
