Student performing at Performing Arts Library Open Mic Lunch eventThe Performing Arts Library, located in room D-004 of the Center for the Performing Arts, houses items relating to the study and performance of music, theatre and dance. The collection includes a solid foundation of western art music from all historic periods, complete editions of the works of major composers, scripts of standard theatre repertoire, as well as ever-growing collections in the areas of play scripts, chamber music, operas, musical theatre, world music, and Ohio musicians and performers. In addition to collections at the Performing Arts Library, University Libraries' Special Collections and Archives (located in the Main Library)
houses several unique music, theatre, and dance collections.

The Performing Arts Library supports Kent State University's School of Music, the School of Theatre and Dance, the Kent/Blossom Music Festival, Porthouse Theatre Academies, and the John Mack Oboe Camp, as well as the music-information needs of the entire Kent State community and the region.
