This was a "media availability" event offered by Kent State University as part of the 30th anniversary commemoration. Question and answer format, with the families and wounded students, including Russ Miller, brother of Jeffrey Miller, and the following who were wounded on May 4 1970: Alan Canfora, John Cleary, Thomas Grace, Jim Russell, Robby Stamps, Joe Lewis, and Dean Kahler. Margaret Garmon opened the event, and President Carol Cartwright and faculty member and commemoration committee member Carole Barbato provided introductory comments. No copyright restrictions.

    Scope and Content: Episode of Rock Story titled “Rebels with a Cause,” produced by VH1. The episode includes a segment on the Kent State shootings and the Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young song, “Ohio.” Alan Canfora, Chrissie Hynde, Jerry Lewis, Stanley Pottinger, Neil Young, David Crosby, and Graham Nash are interviewed.

    Scope and Content: Raw interview footage of Alan Canfora, a survivor of the Kent State shootings. The footage was used in an episode of Rock Story titled “Rebels with a Cause,” produced by VH1. Canfora recounts the events of April and May 1970, including a detailed description of his experience on May 4, 1970. He also discusses the song "Ohio" by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. The final ten minutes of the recording include closeup shots of photographs taken in May 1970.

The footage was used in an episode of Rock Story titled “Rebels with a Cause,” produced by VH1. Lewis was a faculty marshal and an eyewitness to the Kent State shootings. In the interview, Lewis  discusses the events of May 4, 1970, and the song "Ohio" by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.

Shackelford has included a detailed summary of the film's contents (printed copy inside DVD case) and has also provided 60 still images from the film. Included in this footage are views of the crowd, speakers and performers including July Collins, Holly Near, Jane Fonda, Julian Bond, Daniel Ellsberg, and student speakers. Many views of the crowd, signs, and banners, as well as footage of the geographical areas in which the Kent State shootings occurred in 1970.
