Periodical Services assists patrons with periodicals, newspapers, and microforms owned by the Kent State University Libraries. The Periodical Information Desk is located on the second floor of the Main Library near the top of the escalator. Periodical Services staff oversee the periodical collections and provides information about periodicals, such as identifying specific titles or volumes owned, format type, and floor location. Photocopiers, microform readers and reader/printers, and a microfiche duplicator are available.

OhioView is a grassroots organization formed in 1996 to make satellite data more accessible and to fill the knowledge gap in education about the uses of data. Kent State University is one of eleven universities, library networks, and government agencies that make up OhioView.

This is the site of the USGS Landsat Project and its satellite images. These images can be of use in agriculture, geography, forestry, regional planning, education, mapping, and global change research. The Landsat project involves a series of satellites used to monitor the earth's land surface.
