Decent PayLibraries and Media Services knows that your time is very valuable. Undergraduate Student Assistants are paid the rate of $7.00 per hour, and Graduate Student Assistants are paid the rate of $7.85 per hour. Extended Book LoansOnce you start working at Libraries and Media Services, you are allowed the same book loan period as your professors. Take KentLINK books out for an entire semester, not just 4 weeks! Books are renewable for an additional three semesters as long as you remain a library employee. Flexible HoursOne of the best things about Libraries and Media Services is our scheduling. Both the Main Library and Branch Libraries are open days, evenings, and weekends from early morning until late evening. We make sure that the hours you work fit with your schedule and do not interfere with your student activities. Students may work anywhere from 5-30 hours per week. Variety of JobsLibraries and Media Services hires for many different types of jobs: shelving, circulation desk, typing, data entry, office support, graphics, customer services, mailroom, classroom delivery services, photocopier, and computer assistants. We hire Graduate Student Assistants enrolled in the School of Library and Information Sciences for work in Reference, Periodicals, Cataloging, and Interlibrary Loans.
