James Bracken

Provides leadership and serves as the principal administrator for the University Libraries' system, including the general administration of personnel, collections, and value-added services and programs.

Dean Bracken joined Kent State in August 2010. He previously served as Assistant Director for Collections, Instruction, and Public Services at The Ohio State University Libraries. He has a doctorate in English literature from the University of South Carolina, a master's in English from the University of Toledo, and a master's in librarianship from the University of South Carolina. His research interests focus on 16th century printing.
