SPSS Subscale Averages Screenshots
To calculate subscale averages, click Transform -- Compute Variable.
Type a name for Target Variable. Click Type & Label.
Type Label for new variable. Click Continue.
Type in formula for calculating the average.
Click O.K.
Your new subscale average will appear as a new column in data view. If you wish to round the averages to whole numbers, see Recoding Variables.
