Renewing Your SAS License

SAS software is licensed on a calendar basis.  SAS sends Kent State University a text file when we renew our license.  You will need that file in order to continue using your SAS software.  Please follow the screenshots for directions on how to obtain and use the SAS setinit (software renewal) file.

Please go to the KSU Library Homepage

Click the Personal tab in the upper left hand side of the screen.  This will take you to the Library Personal log in page.

Log in with your flashline username and password.  You will be directed to the Library Personal Menu.

Please click on the Statistics Software Downloads tab.

 Under the Purchases Column, find: "There is an additional downloadable file which will initiate and/or renew the license for your copy of this application".  Click on the URL. 

Save the file to your computer.

If you already have SAS software installed, the Renew SAS Software utility applies SAS Installation Data.

Click Start -- All Programs -- SAS --- SAS Utilities -- Renew SAS Software.

Click Browse and find the text file you just downloaded.

Click Open.

Click OK.

Click Renew.
