Installing SAS

Request the SAS Installation Data (SID) from Library & Media Services.

Do this by sending an email message from your kent.edu email account to Tina Ughrin This is a link to another web site at 330-672-8548 requesting the SAS SID. You will be sent a file as an attachment. Save this file on your hard drive. It contains the 'setinit' which is required to install SAS.

To begin the installation, you must be logged in as the Administrator. Close all non-essential applications before you begin the installation. This includes antivirus software, e-mail clients, etc. Locate the CD labeled SAS Setup Disk and insert it into the CD-ROM drive of your computer. If you have autoplay enabled, SAS Startup will begin automatically. If autoplay does not open a SAS installation dialog window, start setup manually: Select Start -> Run Select Browse and browse to the cd-rom drive to setup.exe Select Open and then select OK You will be asked for other CDs as they are needed by SAS Setup, based on the details in your SID.
