Overview of Assignment

The Library Tour Assignment requires students to complete a library tour outside of class time and then pass a brief quiz about the library.

To receive credit for the Library Tour Assignment, students must pass the Library Tour Quiz, which can be access in their First Year Experience course within WebCT Vista.

To pass the Library Tour Quiz, students need to score at least 8 correct out of 10.

Students may take the Library Tour Quiz as many times as necessary to pass it.

Library Tour Options

The library provides several self-paced, online options for taking the library tour; all of these options will enable you to pass the Library Tour Assignment.

• Virtual Library Tour
  A self-paced series of brief videos, this option is a virtual guide through the library.
• Alphabetical Tour
  An alphabetical listing of all public service points and some notable resources in the library.
• Floor-by-Floor Tour
  A listing of resources and service areas of the library by floor.
• In-person Tours
  If you would prefer an in-person tour, please contact Jamie Seeholzer . An individual tour will be arranged as soon as possible.  
• iPod Library Tour
  The library's new iPod library tour allows you to download the 7 parts of the library tour to your iPod. You'll be guided around the library by the First Year Experience Librarian. Or, listen from your computer by clicking on the links below:

Library Tour Quiz Instructions

To receive credit for the Library Tour Assignment, students need to successfully pass the Library Tour Quiz, which is available in WebCT Vista.

Students need to score 8 correct answers on 10 questions to pass the quiz.

Students can take the quiz as many times as needed to pass it.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Complete a Library Tour.
2. Login to FlashLine from the KSU Home Page.
3. Select the "My Courses" tab.
4. Click on the "Vista Single Sign On" link on the left.
5. You will now be taken to WebCT Vista.
6. Find and click the link for your FYE Flash Point on the center of the page.
7. You will see the "Library Tour Quiz" inside your FYE Flash Point course.
8. Click on this link to enter the quiz.
9. Follow the instructions on the screen.
