This free database provides some searchable access to current geoscience publications that are not yet included in the GeoRef Database. The unedited references contain key terms along with bibliographic information, but no abstracts, links to full text, or library holdings are given.

This "Web of Science" database covers the journal literature of the sciences. It indexes more than 5,700 major journals across 164 scientific disciplines, with all cited references captured. Updated weekly.Tutorial

Scopus (1996 - Current)
Scopus is a database that gives author and journal ranking analysis. It works in a similar way to ISI Web of Science and its Citation Indexes. While Scopus does cover many journals that ISI does not, the strongest coverage in the sciences. Scopus uses its H index as a measure of citations for journals and authors.Scopus Searching LibGuide
A 16-page report prepared by Jeff Schahczenski and Holly Hill on the "relationship between agriculture, climate change and carbon sequestration," the article explores the science behind climate change while answering a number of questions regarding the links between agriculture and climate change. Also included for better description are various graphics and charts, visually explaining the complex theories contained in the report, which is a downloadable .pdf file.

Maintained by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), this site offers a bibliography of scholarly resources for research into global warming and its effect on cyclone/hurricane activity. Many articles are available full-text, though some may only be accessed by members of NOAA. Interlibrary loan is an option for articles that are otherwise unavailable. Resources published from 1984 to the present are included in the bibliography.

Daily weather maps from 1871-2002 produced by the War Department, Department of Agriculture, and later the Weather Bureau. Scanned images have a zooming feature, and use the Dejavu image viewer. Ocean World is a user-friendly, comprehensive site for students and instructors in Oceanography with educational resources for kindergarten through the graduate level. Created and maintained by Dr. Robert H. Stewart of Texas A&M University, this site provides many links to online resources for 11 categories of topics within Oceanography, Meteorology, and Ocean Engineering. The resources include those using real-time data. Users can download several textbooks written by "Dr. Bob" for free (in Web or PDF format) as well as read his other publications. The site features a "Print Friendly Page" icon for best results. There is also an "Email Dr. Bob" feature for questions not answered on the site.
