Book and Article Delivery to Off-Campus and Distance Learning Students
Kent State University Libraries & Media Services provides free-of-charge article photocopying and book shipment services for off-campus students who meet these criteria:
- You live 30 or more miles from any Kent State University Library (Kent campus or Regional campuses)
- You do not come to any KSU Campus to attend class
To use this service, please follow these steps:
- Please complete the online Authorization Form. We must have a copy on file before we can ship books and other returnable items to you. Students must agree to pay for shipping and insurance costs when returning books or accept responsibility for any lost or damaged materials.
- Use ILLiad
to place book and article requests. This is the same system used for Interlibrary Loan.
- If you have not done so already, register for ILLiad
.
- Provide us with your preferred shipping address - we can ship to your home or office.
- Be sure to select "Distance Learner" under the "Which Kent State Campus?" pull-down menu. This is our signal to process your requests for shipment to your home or office.
Additionally, you may use OhioLINK to request books and have them delivered to a nearby OhioLINK library . There are over 100 available pick-up locations throughout the state of Ohio.
If you have any questions about distance learning book or article delivery, please contact us at 330-672-2670 or lms-ill@kent.edu.
Important copyright notice Staff reserve the right to refuse a photocopy order if that order is judged to be beyond the "fair use" exemptions of the United States Copyright Law (Title 17, USC). |
