International Political Science Abstracts (1975 - Current)
The International Political Science Abstracts has provided non-evaluative abstracts of articles in the field of political science since 1951. The articles are published in journals and yearbooks all over the world, including the major political science journals.

LexisNexis Academic
Use this resource to find federal and state case law and legislative materials, law reviews, transcripts from the major news services, and the full-text of newspapers for the past 20 years. For information about Countries, click Business and use the Country Analysis link -- this section includes the PRS Group Country Reports which provide information about a country's political, economic, demographic and social structures. Updates and coverage vary with section.

LexisNexis State Capital
Provides access to state government information, including legislative information (status of bills, full text of bills, legislative calendars), state statutes, full text of state regulations, information about state legislators and their staffs, and news sources for information on state issues for all 50 states.

Ohio Capitol Connection (1989 - Current)
Ohio Capitol Connection provides information about current and past legislation of the Ohio General Assembly. Updated daily, it has the complete status and full text of bills introduced in the Ohio General Assembly. This database includes rosters of House and Senate members searchable by name or location, and addresses and biographies of the General Assembly members. While the database focuses on Ohio, information about the Federal government is also available.

Academic Search Complete
Indexes numerous titles in political science and related fields. Many of the articles are available full-text.

Congressional Research Service Reports (2004 - Current)
The Congressional Research Service (CRS) provides members of Congress, committees, and congressional staff with nonpartisan and objective research and analysis on all public policy issues. This tool provides keyword access and full-text to CRS reports produced since 2004.

CQ Historic Documents Series Online (1972 - Current)
Includes the full-text of each of the annual volumes of the CQ Historic Documents set. The volume for each year includes approximately one hundred documents covering the most significant events of that year. These documents range from presidential speeches, international agreements, and Supreme Court decisions to U.S. governmental reports, scientific findings, and cultural discussions.

CQ Researcher (1923 - Current)
Offers a balanced overview of contemporary political and social issues. Each report includes background information, both sides of the debate surrounding the issue, and suggested resources to consult for further information.

Declassified Documents Reference System, U.S.
Provides access to over 500,000 pages of previously classified government documents. Covers events from the Cold War to the Viet Nam war and later. Valuable material for researching international relations, American Studies, United State foreign and domestic policy studies, journalism, and more.

ProQuest Congressional (formerly LexisNexis Congressional)
Brings together a vast amount of information published by and about Congress including bills, laws, regulations, hearings, and committee reports to name only a few. Many of the documents are available full text. Update and coverage varies with section.

Readers' Guide Full Text (1890 - Current)
Reader's Guide covers general-interest periodicals published in the United States. Full text is provided for 215 magazines back to 1994; indexing or abstracts available for 360 magazines back to 1890.

Offers full-text of historical journals in political science and related fields. Coverage starts with the first issue of most titles and usually goes until 3-5 years of the present.

KentLINK is the library catalog for all 8 campuses of the University. It identifies what books, journals, government publications, and media (computer files, films, CDs, etc.) are owned and indicates their availability.

The OhioLINK Library Catalog is the database of all books and other materials owned by the 85 public and private colleges and universities that are OhioLINK member libraries. For any item not available at KSU, it is possible to request the item online and have it sent to any KSU library or another OhioLINK institution for pick up.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service that obtains materials that are not available from KSU or OhioLINK libraries.

Books available through OhioLINK must be requested through the OhioLINK borrowing option; from the record in the OhioLINK catalog, click on the Request This Item link.

ILL cannot be used to request text books.

If a journal article is available in full-text electronically through a Kent State or OhioLINK resource, that article will not be requested via ILL.

ICPSR

ICPSR is an international consortium of over 500 research universities of which Kent State University is a member. Through its membership, Kent State students and faculty have immediate access to a searchable archive of social science data suitable for basic research. ICPSR data sets are designed for conducting statistical analysis and consist of raw, unanalyzed data files and codebooks.

The Almanac of Policy issues provides comprehensive background information and links on major U.S. public policy issues.

This is an excellent gateway to economic and population census data. Data are available for download, in customizable tables or in thematic mapped. The site provides access data from the Decennial Censuses, the Economic Censuses, and the American Community Survey.

More than 70 agencies in the United States Federal Government produce statistics of interest to the public. The Federal Interagency Council on Statistical Policy maintains this site to provide easy access to the full range of statistics and information produced by these agencies for public use.

This site, compiled and maintained by one of the librarians at Vanderbilt University, offers a comprehensive listing of resources dealing with public policy issues, as well as foreign policy and relations and other political science topics. Arranged topically.

Click on any state in the U.S. to receive basic U.S. Census statistics relating to employment and population.

The State Library of Ohio serves the state's citizens and governmental agencies. As a member of the Ohio Depository Library Program and Federal Depository Library Program, the State Library maintains a comprehensive collection of state and federal documents as part of its extensive research collection.

The official web site of Ohio offers information for residents, businesses, government employees, and tourists. It also serves as a directory to websites for Ohio executive branch agencies, the legislature, and the courts.
