An online encyclopedia that provides full-text access to articles, research updates, and dictionary terms in all areas of science and technology. Also contains biographies, weekly updates on hot topics and discoveries, a student center with resource guides, and links to related sites. Updated daily. This resource is available for the Kent, Salem, and Tuscarawas campuses only.

Comprehensive source of information on chemical research and researchers at universities in the United States and Canada by the American Chemical Society. Search by name of faculty or by institution.

This is an excellent gateway to economic and population census data. Data are available for download, in customizable tables or in thematic mapped. The site provides access data from the Decennial Censuses, the Economic Censuses, and the American Community Survey.

The adam Health Illustrated Encyclopedia includes over 4,000 articles about diseases, tests, symptoms, injuries, and surgeries. It also contains an extensive library of medical photographs and illustrations.

Database developed by the Development Therapeutics Program of the National Cancer Institute, which provides information on screening results and chemical structural data on compounds for use in treating cancer and AIDS that are not covered by a confidentiality agreement.

Search a number of dictionaries across major disciplines of science, including astronomy, chemistry, earth science, medicine, physics, zoology, and much more.

The single worldwide repository for the processing and distribution of 3-D structure data of large molecules of proteins and nucleic acids. New structures are released each Wednesday by 1:00am Pacific time. Maintained by the Research Collaboratory for Structural Bioinformatics (RCSB).

Contains the chemical structures of small organic molecules and information on their biological activities. Search for unique chemical structures, deposited structure records, bioassay records, and structures using text terms such as names, synonyms, keywords, or depositor-supplied identifiers, names of reagents, and SMILES, MOL file, and other formats.

Online version of the 1954 title, with links to the full-text of numerous tables of data, including chemical, physical and thermal properties of many different kinds of materials.

A database of 17,221 English review articles (from journals and books) of interest to synthetic organic chemists. It includes the previous version (which covered literature between 1970 and 2002) plus an update containing articles until the end of 2003.

Produced by the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, this site provides a series of summaries about hazardous substances developed by the ATSDR Division of Toxicology. Includes information about exposure to hazardous substances found around hazardous waste sites and the effects of exposure on human health.
