The American Instititute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) is a large professional organization devoted to the progress of engineering and science in aviation, space, and defense. This site contains information on conferences, events, courses, publications, industry news, and information for educators and students.

Digital material for the aviation educator, including pictures, movie clips, and presentation aids.

Aviation Week's web site, containing news about all aspects of aviation, plus job listings.

As an agency of the U.S. Department of Transportation, the FAA web site contains information on airports, air traffic, safety, education and training, licenses and certificates, information for passengers, and research publications.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration main web page. Contains both popular and scholarly links, news, events, photographs, multimedia, launch schedules, history, facts, and more.

The Publications provide detailed information on the most recent aviation accidents (1996-) and brief
information on old accidents. The full text annual reviews of U.S. aircraft accident data from 1994 and later is available online as well.

From the National Weather Service, this site provides digital, graphic, and textual weather forecasts, analyses, and observations of aviation-related weather variables.

Searchable database of technical reports produced by NASA, as well as other agencies, such as BioMed Central, Aeronautical Research Council (UK), arXiv Physics Eprint Server, and Energy Citation Database (OSTI)). Coverage includes research reports, journal articles, conference and meeting papers, technical videos, mission-related operational documents, and preliminary data.

This database contains information from 1962 and later about civil aviation accidents and selected incidents within the United States, its territories and possessions, and in international waters. It is searchable by date, location, aircraft, and event details, as well as by monthly list and investigations nearing completion.
