Provides full text for more than 3,430 scholarly publications covering academic areas of study including social sciences, humanities, education, computer sciences, engineering, language and linguistics, arts & literature, medical sciences, and ethnic studies. This information can be useful for those studying many aspects of the fashion industry. This database is updated daily.

An online encyclopedia that provides full-text access to articles, research updates, and dictionary terms in all areas of science and technology. Updated daily. Useful for information about textiles.

American National Biography Online
Covers more than 18,000 people from all eras who have influenced and shaped American history and culture. Includes illustrations and links to select web sites. Also includes articles from The Oxford Companion to United States History, which gives context to the lives included in ANB Online. All articles originally included in the ANB Online were on biographical subjects who died before the end of 1995. Articles on important figures who have died since 1995 are being added in quarterly updates, but coverage of people in this category is not yet complete.

American Periodicals Series Online (1741 - 1900)
American Periodicals Series Online contains page images of more than 1,100 historic American magazines, journals, and newspapers. These resources illuminate the development of American culture, politics, and society across some 150 years. Articles can be searched by author, source, and words in the complete text. Updated quarterly.

AP Images
Contains approximately 500,000 photos and selections of pictures from the AP image and print negative library. Pictures cover local, state, national and international subjects. Good source for pictures relating to fashion news.

ArticleFirst (OCLC) (1990 - Current)
Contains citations to journal articles covering the humanities, popular culture, science, technology, business and the social sciences. Updated daily. May be used to find information about the fashion industry.

ARTstor
ARTstor is a digital library of nearly one million images in the areas of art, architecture, the humanities, and social sciences with a set of tools to view, present, and manage images for research and pedagogical purposes. Researchers may search for thousands of historical and fine-arts related fashion images.

Biography Reference Bank
Biography Reference Bank provides biographical information on approximately half a million people, from antiquity to the present, along with thousands of images.

Business Source Complete
Provides more than 3,700 full text scholarly publications covering management, economics, finance, accounting, international business. The database also includes country economic reports and detailed company profiles for the world's 10,000 largest companies. This database is updated on a daily basis. This is a good source for information about companies involved in international fashion.

Factiva
Factiva is a good source for international business and company news. It includes full text news reports from more than 10,000 sources from 159 countries and available in 22 languages.

A full-text archive of published articles from 300 magazines and journals that cover various topics, such as business, health, technology, entertainment, sports, and more. A useful source of information about fashion trends and styles.

HarpWeek (1857 - 1871)
Full-text archive of Harper's Weekly, a national publication during the American Civil War and Reconstruction eras. Contains illustrations, articles, advertisements, and editorials. Search by date, keyword, literature genre, and individuals' standing in society or occupation.

LexisNexis Academic
Contains the full-text of newspapers for the past 20 years, federal and state case law and legislative materials, company news and financial information, general information sources and much more. Good source of information about companies associated with the business of fashion.

LexisNexis Country Profiles
Provides access to full text of reports and news about hundreds of countries, including the business and economic situation of a country, analysis of specific industries within a country, export market reports, potential political, financial and economic risks to business investments and trade, and news about a country. Includes global business content on 190 countries, their industries, and consumer trends.

Masterfile Premier
Provides full text for over 1,900 periodicals, mainly popular magazine titles, covering nearly all subjects including general reference, business, health, and much more. Useful for information about fashion trends and businesses in the fashion industry.

Mintel Market Research Reports (2001 - Current)
Provides research reports covering European, UK-specific, and US consumer markets. The reports analyze market drivers, sizes and trends, market segmentation, along with consumer attitudes and purchasing habits. The reports are supplemented by brief digests of relevant recent events, UK and US demographic and economic statistics and useful lists.

Newspaper Source
Provides selected full text for over 180 regional U.S. newspapers, international newspapers, newswires, newspaper columns as well as indexing and abstracts for national newspapers. Full text television & radio news transcripts are provided from CBS News, FOX News, NPR, etc. This database is updated daily. Useful for finding fashion trend information from general news sources.

Science Online
Science Online from Facts On File (not the journal Science published by AAAS) presents information on a broad range of scientific disciplines through extensive definitions, essays, diagrams, biographies, and experiments.

SocINDEX
SocINDEX features more than 1,986,000 records with subject headings from a 19,600+ term sociological thesaurus sociology-specific thesaurus. Abstracts are included for more than 1,130 "core" coverage journals dating back to 1895. In addition, there is coverage for more than 430 "priority" coverage journals as well as over 2,800 "selective" coverage journals. Indexing for books, monographs, conference papers, and other sources is included, and cited references are also provided. All subdisciplines of sociology are covered.
