Organization  Description 

Kent State University became a member of the prestigious Association of Research Libraries in 1974. Today University Libraries is one of only five ARL libraries in the state of Ohio.

The Center for Research Libraries serves as the "libraries' library." Kent State University is a member of this international consortium that makes unique, hard-to-locate materials available to the scholarly community.

CCUMC members provide media and technology support for teaching and learning at their institutions. Kent State has been a long-standing member.

NEO-RLS is a multi-type library consortium assisting member libraries in northeastern Ohio to meet the needs of their users.

Kent State is a founding member of OCLC and has been a consistent contributor to its union catalog and user of its various services.

OhioLINK is the statewide information system for higher education in Ohio. It is a cooperative venture between college and university libraries and the Ohio Board of Regents. Since it was proposed in 1987, Kent State University librarians have played an active role in its development. The resources and services offered through OhioLINK are unparalleled by any other statewide system.
