Audio Exchange Program

The audio tape exchange program supplies audio cassettes to students using pre-recorded material to supplement their classroom instruction. We have various language and music tapes for your classes, and the exchange program is the most economical way to get all of the audio material you need.

For a $5.00 initial fee, you receive the first tape. Then, at your convenience, you can return the tape and receive the next lesson for free.

Please note: We abide by all copyright restrictions.

How The Exchange Program Works:

  1. The process begins when the student receives the initial audio assignment.
  2. The student then goes to Audio Visual Services, located on the third floor of the Main Library.
  3. The order for the tape is placed at the Customer Service Counter, where the tape is usually available at that time.
  4. A fee of $5.00 is charged to cover the cost of the initial cassette and all future duplications. This a one time per tape charge- in effect, the tape belongs to the student.
  5. When the next assignment is given, the student returns the exchange tape currently in his/her possession to Audio Visual Services and exchanges it for the next tape needed.

There are no additional charges or cash refunds. If a tape is defective, it is promptly replaced.

Theoretically, students can purchase one exchange tape at the beginning of their freshman year and use it repeatedly throughout their college career, going from a French tape series to ones in other departments, such as Music.
