The Department of Special Collections and Archives acquires, preserves and provides access to primary sources and rare materials that support the teaching and research programs of the University. The Kent State University archives and a large collection of materials related to the events and aftermath of May 4, 1970 are also available in this department. Materials do not circulate, but may be used in the reading room.
