1. Where are you located?

We're located on the third floor of the main library within Audio Visual Services.

2. What are your hours?

We're open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

3. Do you employ students in Design Solutions?

Yes, we employ six or seven student production assistants each semester. If you are a student enrolled at Kent State University and want to work here in between classes, you may fill out an application in the Dean's Office of University Libraries on the third floor of the library or online. Designate on the application that you would be interested in working in "Graphics." Read about the job responsibilities and qualifications by clicking on "Graphics." Someone will contact you for an interview when a position opens up.

4. What are your prices?

Most design projects are custom-made specifically for each individual. Please contact one of our staff members to discuss your specific request, schedule a consultation and obtain a price estimate.

5. Do you laminate?

We have a 12" laminator which will laminate both sides of your document or laminate the front side and put an adhesive on the back.

6. Can you make poster prints?

Yes, we have two 42" full-color inkjet printers and various types of media (bond, glossy, satin, vinyl). Stop in to see sample prints.

7. How long will it take to print my digital file?

Allow a minimum of 2 business days to print a file; multiple prints will take longer. Please consult with a staff member before bringing in your digital file concerning turnaround time and appropriate file formats.

8. Can I have something framed in Design Solutions?

We do not offer framing services, but we can give your posters a professionally "edged" finish! For prints that are drymounted to foam board, we can cut plastic edging material to custom-fit the poster. Available colors are blue, gold, black, white, silver and chrome.
