    Information Commons

    Information Commons Reference Desk and list of 1st floor services in the Main Library

    The Information Commons on the 1st and 2nd floors in the Main Library brings together in one place the services and resources students need to find information and use technology. This open area is stocked with reference books, computers, and librarians to assist you with your research. Over 40 computers are located throughout the Information Commons. These workstations are for doing online research using library and Internet resources. No log-in or reservation is required to use these computers. Simply find an available computer and go online. If you wish to print out any materials in the Information Commons, you will need to have money on your FLASHcard. For more information, click here.

    Your starting point for doing research will be the library's home page. As a student, you have access to hundreds of quality information sources not freely available on the public web. The computers in the Information Commons are primarily for accessing the libraries' resources on the web. Think of the Information Commons as a place to do research and work online.
