Provides an archive of data sets for analysis in a range of academic disciplines, including political science, sociology, demography, history, economics, international relations, gerontology, public health, criminal justice, and education. Data collections consist of raw, unanalyzed data files, and codebooks. ICPSR data sets can be downloaded directly to a user's computer for use with statistical software such as SPSS or SAS.

The Sanborn Maps are large scale street plans produced by the Sanborn Fire Insurance company from 1867 to 1970. Sanborn Maps show the outline of each building including the location of windows and doors together with street names, street and sidewalk widths, property boundaries, building use, and house and block numbers. These maps are used by a wide range of researchers including local historians to locate and identify buildings and neighborhoods, urban historians to study the growth of towns and cities, and environmentalists concerned about impact of new developments.
Sanborn Map Keys and Legends Science Database
This database includes more than 300 environmental geology images from a faculty collection at Oberlin College. Images can be downloaded, or printed and are accompanied by author supplied descriptions of geologic interest.
Social Sciences Citation Index (1980 - Current)
This "Web of Science" database indexes the journal literature of the social sciences. It fully indexes more than 1,725 journals from 50 social sciences disciplines, and it indexes selectively from more than 3,300 scientific and technical journals. Updated weekly.
Tutorial SocINDEX
SocINDEX features more than 1,300,000 records with subject headings from a 15,600 term sociology-specific thesaurus. Abstracts are included for more than 620 "core" coverage journals dating back to 1895. In addition, there is coverage for more than 500 "priority" coverage journals as well as over 1,390 "selective" journals. Indexing for books, monographs, conference papers, and other sources is included, and cited references are also provided. All subdisciplines of sociology are covered.
